Definitions

  • Service Provider: Tooting Man with Van and its employees or agents.
  • Client: The individual or entity requesting services from the Service Provider.
  • Services: The moving, transportation, and related services offered by the Service Provider.

Services

Tooting Man with Van offers professional moving and transportation services within Tooting and surrounding areas. Our services include packing, loading, transportation, unloading, and unpacking of your belongings.

Booking and Payment

To secure our services, clients must complete a booking form and provide a valid deposit. The deposit amount is 50% of the total service cost and is required at the time of booking.

  • Payment Methods: We accept payments via credit/debit cards, bank transfers, and cash payments.
  • Full Payment: The remaining balance is due upon completion of the services.
  • Deposit Refund: Deposits are refundable up to 48 hours before the scheduled service date. Refunds requested after this period may incur a cancellation fee.

Cancellation Policy

Clients may cancel their booking without penalty up to 48 hours before the scheduled service time. Cancellations made within 48 hours of the service date will incur a cancellation fee of 25% of the total service cost.

In the event of a cancellation, the deposit will be refunded minus any applicable cancellation fees as outlined above.

Liability

Tooting Man with Van is committed to handling your belongings with care. However, we are not liable for any loss or damage arising from:

  • Items not properly packed by the client.
  • Pre-existing damage to items before the service.
  • Force majeure events, including natural disasters, strikes, or other events beyond our control.

We recommend that clients obtain their own insurance for valuable items.

Customer Responsibilities

Clients are responsible for:

  • Ensuring all items are properly packed and secured for transportation.
  • Providing accurate information regarding the volume and nature of items to be moved.
  • Ensuring access to both pickup and delivery locations.
  • Removing any items that may be hazardous or illegal to transport.

Force Majeure

Tooting Man with Van shall not be held liable for any failure to perform its obligations due to events beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to:

  • Acts of God (earthquakes, floods, storms, etc.)
  • Government restrictions or regulations.
  • War, terrorism, or civil unrest.
  • Labor disputes or shortages.

In the event of a force majeure, we will notify clients as soon as possible and make reasonable efforts to reschedule services.

Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from the use of our services shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

Amendments

Tooting Man with Van reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time. Clients will be notified of any significant changes, and continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

Acceptance

By booking and using our services, clients acknowledge that they have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.
